You will need:
2 1/2 cups (300 g) flour
1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
3/4 cup (180 g) butter
6-7 tbs (90 ml) of water
This amount of dough will make enough for a top and bottom crust. If you are interested in a dutch topping cut the ingredients in half.
Mix the flour, salt and shortening together until the dough looks crumbly and flaky.
Add water slowly while stirring with fork until dough holds together when pressed.
I don’t buy plastic bags or plastic wrap. It’s me trying to be green. I save empty bread bags and use them for storage.
Put the dough into a freezer bag and store for up to 6 months.
